How to flatten an oil painting after its been rolled up
Hey how’s it going, this was a test I did at my friend little factory for winners Circle clothing. I had a number of unstreched oil paintings that were rolled up so I was given the idea to flatten them out by running them through that heat machine for curing silkscreens. And amazingly it works perfect. So if you ever have an old rolled up oil painting maybe you should look into finding a local silkscreen shop if you are trying to flatten it back out to stretch on stretcher bars.

Hey how are you guys doing, thank you for checking out my site over the next week or two I will be uploading a few new pages to my site about oil painting. a click here for my first one A bout five years ago I did a how to oil paint tutorial on a website and it was good back then but I i can do better now and I would also like to do a much more thorough job so here I go again. I hold life drawing to be a most respectable skill and feel there is a great lack of artists who possess this ability who work in the arts industry today. So I hope by putting this information out there I can help people who are interested in this style of painting better themselves and further their knowledge in the pursuit of this art form.

This is my latest project I am working on. This is a photograph of my art studio and the on the table is ceramic cell phones with nude cell phone pictures on the screen. They are China painted. China paint is fritt glass that is ground to a superfine dust and mixed with a medium such as lavender oil or Thompson enamel squeegee oil. These ceramic cell phones are not fired and I will post images upon completion of the works. Thank you for your interest as always, Jesse

Woodside Braseth Gallery
These are two landscape oil paintings I did over the summer. These are painted from life at discovery Park.
People frequently lacks the respect that classical oil painting should receive. I love to simply paint from nature. This to me is the most pure form of oil painting. It is always a struggle and a humbling experience. It truly shows a man’s worth in the fine art realm to paint studies from life. These are not commercial landscapes they are paintings in the tradition of the old masters the Impressionists and all those who paint what they see
